Owner-operated. Jacksonville beach corridor. Moss never speaks to a client — that's the whole point.

Before anything else

A few things only you know

Green Man Designs

Everything that isn't the actual work.

Leads, jobs, numbers and clients — held here so none of it is being carried around in your head while you're on a mower.

Where it stands

On the books

Waiting on a reply from you

Someone is asking

Leads

Harvested once a day and scored. Anything under the bar never gets here. Moss does not post, comment, reply, or message anyone — it tells you, you write the words. On Nextdoor the first four or five comments get read and the rest drown, so the only thing that matters is that you see it early.

The response formula — yours, not Moss's

  1. Greet them by name.
  2. Owner-operator of Green Man Designs, 6–7 years, thousands of plants in the ground.
  3. Answer their post point by point, so they can tell you actually read it.

Most people comment "I can do it" and a phone number. That's the whole edge.

What it costs

Estimates

Labor is hours times the rate. Materials store what they cost you and charge that times the markup. Transport is always its own line and never gets absorbed. Turn the two dials and every number re-runs.

The lines

Who they are

Clients

One card each, with everything that's ever been done for them. Say something into the bar after a visit and it lands on the right card.

Still Open

The unfinished list, kept visible on purpose. Most of these are one afternoon of work that keeps not happening because nobody is looking at them all at once.

Waiting on you

Approvals

Nothing changes the books on its own. Anything Moss or a document proposes waits here until you say yes. Leads are the exception — a post existing is a fact, so those land on their own; what you decide about them doesn't.

Under the hood

What it can do

Ask for something past the edge and Moss says so rather than forcing it into the nearest list — and writes down exactly what it would take to build. Those land here, and they're how you send Mike work without getting on a call.

The Book

Every question you answer for free is inventory. Answer it once into the bar and it's kept — species, prices, the reason a thing died. This is the raw material of the paid advice product, and it fills itself up while you're being helpful anyway.
